Life happens...

Why are you anxious? Why do you worry? Less wrinkles are more becoming. Do not stop dreaming because you had a nightmare. You may be afraid of the future. You may also be afraid that the past will repeat itself. Never be a prisoner of your past; it was a lesson, not a life sentence. Nothing grows inside your comfort zone. So, if you are blaming God for not "allowing" or "helping" you grow- look to see where you are standing, and ask yourself if you are comfortable.

You might be sad because you have been through a lot. You may be anxious because you are afraid of what is to come. But you should be proud that you are strong enough to make it through. You may feel like dying or you may be sad because you are growing old. Please be glad you are alive. Some people do not have the privilege of breathing this air; growing old is a privilege some do not get.

Do not let your fear of what will happen- make nothing happen. You may not be able to control all the events in life, but you can control if you are reduced by them. If you are depressed- you are living in the past. If you are anxious- you are living in the future. Be unstoppable. Not because you do not have failures and doubts, but because you continue despite them.

I asked God why He allowed me to go through the storms, tsunamis, and floods of life. His voice softened and said, "Because your enemies cannot swim."

Ships do not sink because of the water around them. They sink because water gets inside them. Do not let the things around you bring you down.

Why do you cause yourself pain? Admit it. We have all got problems, but a bunch of them are the ones we make up in our heads as ridiculous (yet seem possible) scenarios. Decide this minute to never again beg for the attention, love, and respect you should be showing yourself. The right ones will come along and will love you for you.

When people are rude to you- it reveals who they are, not who you are. Don't take it personally. But do not diminish your feelings either. It is okay to cry, be sad, angry, upset, hurt, frustrated etc. It is what separates us from animals. It is what makes us human.

Even if you shake, a step is still a step. Stop underestimating yourself. Rock bottom has built more heroes than privileges.
Oo! A riddle (just a short one before I forget). What word in the English language is the things?

  • The first two letters mean a man.
  • The first three letters mean a woman.
  • The first four letters mean someone who has done something great.
  • The entire word means women in general.
Answer will be at bottom of page). Moving on...

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. (Psalm 34:4)

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak- I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10)

I can do all things through Him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13)

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you-you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:25-34 emphasis mine)

You Must Be Important

(I have not seen the entire thing, but my sister showed me a minute of it and I was like, "Ahhhh!! Love this!!!")

Whatever you do- give 100% (unless you are donating blood... that would be sad...)

Life is 10% what happens and 90% how you react to it. There are plenty of obstacles in your path; do not make yourself one of them. Most of the shadows in our lives are from ourselves standing in our own sunshine. Do not let perfect be the enemy of amazing.

There are many interpretations of the "glass is half empty or half full." Another way to look at it is "My glass is refillable." However, what happens when you feel it is not refillable? Well, be thankful you have the glass.

Answer: Heroine!
